Things I cannot help with
I am an independent guide, not a tour operator, not the fortress and not Forsvarshistorisk museum. So I cannot change, cancel or refund a booking; that goes through GetYourGuide using the confirmation email they sent you. I cannot sell you entry to the museums, and I cannot get anyone into Akershus Castle, the chapel or the Royal Mausoleum, which are closed to all visitors until further notice. I also cannot grant permission for organised photography inside the fortress, which is a matter for the commandant’s office, not for me.
Before you write
Three questions arrive most weeks and all three already have pages. Do you need a ticket: see tickets and is it free. What time can you get in: see opening hours. Is there a changing of the guard at Akershus: see the guard page, and the short answer is no, not since 2019.
